Class 5

Welcome to Class 5's Class Page!

This term Class 5 are entomologists,  researching and learning  all about mini beasts.  We have already been exploring our outdoor environment investigating what lives there.  We have been looking under, behind and inside and found all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures.  We are using non fiction texts to find out all about the wildlife outside our classroom and are currently writing our own mini beast fact file book.  We have been investigating and researching environments and habitats in order to design and make our very own bug hotels.

Bug hunting and making in the wilds of Mapperley

At Westdale we love a celebration and had great fun celebrating the Queen's birthday.  We made her cards, baked her birthday mug cakes, designed a new birthday crown and outfit and painted her a new birthday portrait.  At lunch we had a special birthday picnic outside in the sunshine.  What a great day!
