• Reading Party Winners!

  Our children who had the most reads during the year had a fantastic party today and were rewarded with treats, certificates and a dip in the prize box. A special well done to Micah who had the most reads of anyone in school 285 over the year and was awarded with a special book. Well done to all, keep it up!

• Foundation trip to Sherwood Pines

  In June our Foundation children went on an adventure to Sherwood Pines.  We explored the woods,  used woodland treasures to make patterns and art,  had great fun on the play area, had a picnic and went pond dipping.   We had an amazing, tiring day finished off with a sing song back on the bus.  Thank you to all the parent helpers who supported our trip.   We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

  

• Westdale's Got Talent

  Another fun filled morning with the children performing for all of the school if they had got through to the finals of Westdale's Got Talent. We had some fantastic singing, dancing, gymnastics and joke telling! Well done to the Y2 Boys who beat everyone to be the winner's for 2019!

  

• House Winners!

  Earth house got a special treat today when the ice cream van came to celebrate them winning the house point competition over the year.

• Y2 Graduation 2019

  What a fantastic leaver's assembly from Y2 showcasing their talents, learning from the year and what a delight they have been! We will miss you all so much but know you are ready for the next step to Juniors. Good luck!

  

• Family and Friends Picnic!

  What a fabulous lunchtime we all had in the sun, playing and enjoying picnics with family and friends. We had lots of positive feedback, thank you! Thanks to all our fantastic Friends of Westdale helpers too, you are very much appreciated!

  

• F2 Showcase!

  F2 showed off all of their year's learning to family and friends today singing some lovely songs, showing off their art work and having a play outside. Even Super Bea came to see us! What a treat!

  

• Class Swaps and the Weather Witch!

  Classes went to meet their new teachers' this morning and spent the time getting to know their new teacher and friends. The children were amazing and looked like big Year 1s and 2s!

  The Weather Witch came to visit the new Y1s to get ready for their new topic in September and the children designed new umbrellas for her.

  

• Community Singing!

  We visited St Andrew's yesterday to share some of our songs with the residents. Choir had a lovely time after singing- having some juice, biscuits and a chat with all the lovely people who live there. Well done choir and Mrs Watkins!
