School Times, Term dates & INSET days
The school day starts at 8.50am. School classroom doors open at 8.45am, the school registers are taken at 8.55am - children need to be in classrooms and sat down on the carpet by this time.
Children who arrive after 8.55am will need to enter school via the school office on Digby Avenue as the external classroom doors will be locked.
9am - 9.30am children will be marked as a 'L' (late) in the register. Any arrival after 9.30am will be marked as a 'U' in the register, this counts as an unauthorised absence.
School finishes for the day at 3.10pm, collection is at the classroom doors in the playground.
This totals 32.5 hours of learning time for the children.
Change to school timings from September 2024
From September ‘24 all schools are required to have a minimum teaching day of 32.5 hours. We are currently falling just below this, so in the new academic year, our school end of day will extend by 5 minutes to a 3.15pm pick-up.
