  • Queen's Jubilee - Picnic in the Playground

    Fri 27 May 2022

Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Picnic in the Playground – it was a wonderful afternoon and we really enjoyed seeing so many people help celebrate the Jubilee at the school.

The cake donations were very welcome and Friends of Westdale raised £350.44 from purchases made on the day! Thank you to those who volunteered their time and helped make it such a success.

We saw a beautiful performance from the School Choir at the beginning of the afternoon, Mrs Watkins was very proud of all of you! There was also a fun game of bingo, and everyone looked great in Red, White, and Blue.

  • Ladybirds and Butterflies visit the library

    Tue 24 May 2022

On Tuesday 24th May Ladybirds and Butterflies had their first trip outside of school!

We walked very smartly all the way to and back from the library. It's a lot further than you think and we were super impressed by how the children

    persevered, in rain and shine!

    While at the library we:

    • Met Andrew the librarian, he told us all about how to use the library and what you need when you visit.

    • Browsed the books on display and borrowed
one, if we had a library card, using the special
      machine.

    • It was a very exciting morning, and we had a
      lot of fun.

    • Listened to the story 'The Incredible Book
      Eating Boy'.

Thank you to our wonderful helpers who made the
    visit possible.
